Dell unveiled its huge 52-inch UltraSharp 6K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor on Tuesday, and folks, it’s a behemoth.

Lenovo revealed two new rollable concept laptops at CES on Tuesday: the ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept and Legion Pro Rollable Concept. Designed for business and gaming respectively, both devices boast expandable OLED screens that greatly increase the size of their displays. The ThinkPad Rollable XD’s screen even wraps around the top edge of the laptop’s lid, creating a second “world-facing” display on its back.

TCL got in on the smart glasses trend at CES 2026, announcing the new TCL RayNeo Air 4 Pro. These smart glasses feature a HDR-capable Micro-OLED display, inbuilt Bang & Olufsen speakers, and a competitive price of $299 — significantly lower than similar competitors.

Mashable’s tech editor Timothy Beck Werth got to demo the RayNeo Air 4 Pro prior to its official launch later this month, and was impressed by the brightness and clarity of its Micro-OLED display.

He also tried on the RayNeo X3 Pro Project eSIM, the upcoming eSIM enabled version of TCL’s recently launched RayNeo X3 Pro. Read his full report.

Samsung previewed the future of display technology at its First Look event at CES. The center of attention was the brand’s new “ultra-premium” Micro RGB TV, which has a massive 130-inch display and a sculptural design that commands attention. In addition, the expo showed off some cool new display technology from the Korean tech giant, including transparent OLED displays, spatial 3D hologram displays, and mirror bevels.

The company’s new EEG-powered gaming headset, built in collaboration with HP’s HyperX, tracks focus, cognitive load, and reaction speed in real-time — no gel, wires, or mad-scientist vibes required. Hidden inside plush earcups are brain-sensing electrodes that quietly monitor what’s going on upstairs while you play.

During a private demo with Mashable’s Chance Townsend, he watched a live graph respond to nothing but his focus level, then jumped into Aimlabs to test PRIME, Neurable’s neurofeedback warm-up. Think meditation, but with data: as your brain settles into an optimal state, on-screen visuals align seamlessly. After a one-minute session, Townsend notes his reaction times dropped, and his accuracy improved — even while fighting rebellious contact lenses.

Neurable calls it “bullet time for your brain,” and surprisingly, it kind of is.

At 11:08 a.m. PT, Mashable senior shopping reporter Haley Henschel made an astute observation on the showroom floor: “Apple Vision Pro spotted in the wild. Took longer than I thought.”

Asus is going big without getting heavy. Announced at CES 2026, the Zenbook A16 somehow delivers a massive 16-inch 3K OLED touchscreen while staying remarkably calm on the scale at just 2.65 pounds.

That airy feeling comes from Asus’ Ceraluminum chassis, a ceramic-aluminum alloy designed to be tough, light, and fingerprint-resistant.

Under the hood, a new Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme chip, up to 48GB of RAM, and WiFi 7 promise smooth, stress-free performance. Thin bezels push the screen to a serene 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, and the tan “Zabrinskie Beige” — not to be confused with millennial beige — finish keeps the minimalist vibes intact.

Skylight’s Calendar 2 is here for anyone whose schedule needs a glow-up.

Debuting at CES 2026, the WiFi-connected family calendar keeps track of schedules, chores, and to-do lists — now with a sleeker, more customizable design. According to Mashable’s senior shopping reporter, Haley Henschel, who checked out the device at the Pepcom showcase on Tuesday night, the new 15-inch model is thinner, faster, and brighter, featuring rounded corners and magnetic frames that can be swapped to match your home decor. There’s even an adjustable stand that tilts a full 180 degrees. Skylight also fixed a longtime gripe by making the frame easy to snap on and off (no DIY frustration required).

Under the hood, a new processor makes it three times faster, and the upgraded touchscreen delivers sharper, more color-accurate visuals. Priced at $299.99 and launching in February, Calendar 2 proves productivity can be stylish.

Based on what we’ve seen so far at CES 2026, this is shaping up to be the year of strange and adorable AI robots.

From Ludens AI‘s Cocomo and INU to SwitchBot‘s Kata friends and Yukai Engineering‘s 2025 favorite Mirumi, there are enough cute and fluffy robots to convince us they’re not watching our every move, right? Despite the fact we’ve been playing with high-tech gadgets at preview events for days, Tuesday, Jan. 6 is the first official day of CES. And while there are 12 venues across three campuses this year, the main shenanigans are happening at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The show floor opens at 9 a.m. PT with press conferences, keynotes, and demos running all day until 5 p.m. — exhibits stay open until 6 p.m.

How else are you going to be jealous of robots that are better dancers than us?

Making AI companions feel more physically present has become one of the major themes of CES 2026. Mashable assistant editor Chance Townsend checked out two such projects bringing AI assistants right onto your desk, moving them beyond a chatbot in your phone.

Razer showcased a more tangible version of Project Ava, Razer’s real-time gaming co-pilot, as a cylindrical desktop device that displays an animated character called Kira who gives you tips on your game.

And Lepro Ami showed off its “AI soulmate” called Ami, a physical device that sits on your desk and simulates emotional intimacy through a small, curved OLED screen.

With AI front and centre, CES 2026 was AMD’s moment — and the Californian chipmaker seized the opportunity. During the company’s Monday keynote, CEO Dr. Lisa Su showed off AMD products like the Epyc CPU chips as well as new PC-level AI-friendly processors, the Ryzen AI 400. Notably, she predicted AI would go from 1 billion active users to 5 billion active users within five years, bringing onstage tech leaders including OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman for chats about AI.

As Mashable senior editor Chris Taylor writes, “Su offered a dizzying array of guest CEOs to talk up how AI will transform everything from healthcare to spaceflight. None of that seems to have made much difference to investors, at least. They drove AMD stock down slightly earlier in the day; it flatlined in after-hours trading.”

It’s a little early, but who’s up for an AI-powered bartender mixing us a drink? Mashable assistant editor Chance Townsend pulled up a barstool with the AI Barmen, which is meant to behave like an actual bartender.

It’ll scan your face and estimate your age instead of physically IDing you, ask about your day and tailor your drink to your tastes, and remember you for next time. But how good was it at all of that?

Twist our arm, we’re back in the massage chair that intrigued and terrified us at last year’s CES.

After the miles already trudged by the valiant Mashable editorial team through the Las Vegas Convention Center, they deserve a little high-tech R&R. Our social media manager Lily Kartiganer relaxed (?) in Bodyfriend’s latest massage chair, and went through every possible reaction while not knowing if she could actually escape its clutches.

“We had Bumblebee Transformer yellow last year, this year we’ve got Iron Man red and gold,” she says in the below video. “We can vote about which we like better.”

Jackery is the brand that helped popularize portable power stations, and for CES 2026, the company is introducing three new products — the Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra, the Jackery Solar Gazebo, and the Jackery Solar Mars Bot.

The Solar Mars Bot is particularly cool. It’s an autonomous roving power station that seeks out sunlight to recharge itself, and it includes retractable 300W solar panels.

The Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra is the company’s most rugged portable power station, and it offers 1,800 watts of continuous output with a 3,600-watt peak. Jackery says it’s “capable of withstanding magnitude-9 earthquake forces” and operating “reliably in temperatures ranging from 5°F to 113°F.” The company says it’s also the lightest power station of its kind.

Finally, the Jackery Solar Gazebo is a permanent outdoor structure that harvests solar power. “Equipped with industrial-grade, high-efficiency solar panels delivering 2,000 watts of capacity and generating up to 10 kilowatt-hours per day, the Jackery Solar Gazebo supports a wide range of lifestyles,” a Jackery press release states.

A Jackery spokesperson told Mashable that all three products will be launching in 2026, part of the company’s 10-year anniversary.

Nvidia CEO and founder Jensen Huang offered some interesting insights into the $5 trillion company’s ambitions during his keynote at CES today. Unsurprisingly, Nvidia’s focus is squarely on AI.

Dell XPS laptops are back, and they have a brand new look. Dell announced the XPS’ return at CES on Monday, reviving the brand just one year after initially retiring it. Now back and slimmer than ever, the new XPS 14 comes stamped with the XPS logo on its lid, and will feature Intel‘s newly launched Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The Dell XPS 14 also boasts a traditional function row comprised of physical keys, as opposed to the divisive touch bar featured on previous XPS laptops.

Intel launched its Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors at CES today. Codenamed Panther Lake, the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips are the first built on the new Intel 18A process. Laptops powered by the new chips will offer up to 27 hours of battery life.

Intel also announced the Intel Arc B390 integrated GPU. The company claims that laptops packing it will be able to provide discrete-class while still offering up to 27 hours of battery life. Intel has also said it will be launching “an entire handheld gaming platform with Panther Lake” later this year as a testament to the Intel Arc B390’s capabilities.

Preorders for the first laptops containing Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips will open tomorrow, Jan. 6, with shipping scheduled for Jan. 27.

Boston Dynamics’ humanoid Atlas robot appeared in front of a live public audience for the first time today, starring in parent company Hyundai’s CES press conference. The robotics company also announced a new product version of its Atlas robots, detailing specs and features such as its ability to lift up to 110lbs as well as autonomously swap out its own battery pack.

Nvidia kicked off CES 2026 with a keynote that made it clear we won’t get any new consumer graphics cards. CEO Jensen Huang took the stage in Las Vegas to outline Nvidia’s next phase as an AI infrastructure juggernaut, focusing squarely on data centers, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and what he repeatedly framed as “physical AI.”

There were no shiny new GeForce GPUs for gamers to obsess over; instead, Huang spotlighted massive demand for AI compute, next-gen platforms like Vera Rubin entering full production, and partnerships spanning everything from industrial robotics to self-driving cars.

Many of the products unveiled so far at CES 2026 are light on specifics, with vague timelines ranging from “coming soon” to maybe someday.

The good news: as of Jan. 5, several products unveiled over the weekend are already available to purchase or pre-order, and the show hasn’t even officially started yet. CES 2026 runs from Jan. 6 through Jan. 9, and we’ll be keeping a running list of the gadgets you can actually buy right now as more announcements roll in.

What’s Lego doing at CES this year?

Smart Bricks and the Smart Play platform, that’s what. At Lego’s first ever event at CES, the company debuted a new type of Lego brick that brings Lego creations, characters, and playsets to life.

A Lego Smart brick looks like any other Lego brick, except it’s equipped with small Silicon chip that’s tinier than a single Lego stud as well as sensors, accelerometers, and mini-speakers. The sensors can tell the difference between sounds, light, color, direction, distance and more.

There’s no screens or displays or power buttons. Lego built the technology specifically with enhancing your own creativity with physical play in mind.

Snap a Smart brick onto your creation and the brick can tell exactly what its connected to. The Smart brick will make Lego car engines rev, Lego fires crackle, and Lego monsters purr and roar.

Racing two Lego cars equipped with Smart bricks? The Smart brick connected finish line can light up with the color of the car that makes it past the finish line first in a neck-to-neck race.

Lego also announced the Smart Play series of sets built specifically for Smart bricks. To kick things off, Lego introduced a partnership with Disney for a new Smart Play line of Star Wars Lego sets that bring Lego X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and the Emperor’s throne room to life.

Lego debuted its new Smart Brick system with a little help from Chewbacca and his droid pals.

Introduced onstage at the annual tech conference, the Smart Brick is a standard 2×4 brick infused with sensors, lights, sound, and a tiny onboard chip, all part of a new platform Lego calls Smart Play. To demonstrate how it works, the company brought a Chewbacca minifigure near a Smart Brick, instantly triggering the Wookiee’s iconic roar — before a full-size Chewbacca appeared onstage to the crowd’s delight.

Of course, C-3PO and R2-D2 also joined the fun, reinforcing why Star Wars has remained one of Lego’s most successful and expansive themes for decades.

Lego confirmed the first Smart Brick sets will launch under the Star Wars banner, including a TIE Fighter, an X-Wing, and Darth Vader’s Throne Room. Because each set includes a Smart Brick, the builds can interact with one another based on proximity and movement in 3D space.

Lego is hosting a keynote press conference ahead of CES, and we’re expecting big announcements regarding the latest in brick technology. Unfortunately, while this Lego event will not be livestreamed, Mashable reporter Matt Binder is in attendance and reporting live.

During its CES presentation, LG Electronics unveiled CLOiD, its multitasking autonomous home robot designed to assist with everyday household chores — and yes, it did some laundry onstage. Very slowly.

Mashable senior reporter Haley Henschel was there to witness the live demo, which showed CLOiD methodically handling garments as LG outlined its broader vision for AI-powered homes.

Somewhat ironically, LG opened the presentation by declaring that “the future is human,” arguing that technology should focus less on speed and constant upgrades and more on improving the quality of life. As LG’s CEO put it, “Innovation only matters when it truly makes your life better.”

CLOiD is a physical embodiment of that philosophy. The robot features a wheeled base for safe navigation, a tilting torso, and two seven-degree-of-freedom arms with five-fingered hands for fine manipulation. Its head functions as a mobile AI hub, housing a chipset, display, speakers, cameras, sensors, and voice-based generative AI for communication, learning user habits, and controlling connected appliances.

Powered by LG’s Physical AI — combining visual understanding with action-based models trained on tens of thousands of hours of household data — CLOiD is designed to handle tasks like breakfast prep, laundry folding, and unloading the dishwasher. However, after watching this live demo, it may take you less time to do those things yourself.

Motorola could be preparing to take a big step beyond its familiar flip-phone formula.

Leaker Evan Blass shared what appear to be official marketing materials for a device called the Motorola Razr Fold, suggesting the company is ready to debut its first book-style foldable. Until now, Motorola’s foldable efforts have been limited to clamshell Razr models.

The leaked slide confirms the Razr Fold would be Motorola’s first device in this form factor and teases “brilliant displays, intelligent AI, and an advanced, boundary-breaking camera system.” No specs are listed, but the emphasis on camera performance stands out in a category where compromises are still common.

The timing aligns with earlier reports indicating an announcement around CES 2026. If that’s accurate, more details could arrive at any moment.

A book-style Razr would put Motorola in direct competition with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup, which currently dominates the segment — including newer experimental designs like the Galaxy Z TriFold, which Mashable’s Timothy Beck Werth recently got hands-on with at CES.

Govee is all about changing the way we perceive lamps and lighting, and the brand’s CES 2026 showcase is really something.

Adorable robots designed to live alongside you

Japanese startup Ludens AI’s concept companions Cocomo and INU have debuted at CES, and as Mashable assistant editor Chance Townsend saw, they’re both as cute as they are quietly terrifying.

If you thought robots were going to sit this CES out, you’d better take a walk around the block. Big tech companies are bringing their best new bots to the Vegas convention floor, most powered up to the nines with AI tech.

Robot butlers are in hot competition: Switchbot claims to have the “most accessible humanoid housebot” yet while LG’s CLOiD home helper robot can perform a “wide range of indoor household tasks.” Meanwhile robovacs refuse to be outshone at CES these days, with Narwal announcing its “most advanced robotic mop ever.”

Of course, we love a cute robot at CES, and Ludens AI has shown adorable concept companions Cocomo and INU that are designed to live alongside you. But we’re also keen to meet Fuzozo, the AI emotional companion set to debut this week.

There’s more to come, as Mashable’s Stan Schroeder writes, “While we cannot reveal more at this stage, we definitely know there will be several companies bringing new, humanoid and non-humanoid robots to the show.”

Mashable finally got the chance to go hands-on with the highly anticipated Galaxy Z TriFold, the new foldable smartphone from Samsung with two folds instead of one.

Beating Apple to the tri-folding punch, Samsung’s mega-hyped mobile device showed up at the company’s CES First Look event on Sunday. Mashable tech editor Timothy Beck Werth was lucky enough to get up close, calling the Galaxy Z TriFold “the closest we’ve gotten to one of those Westworld-style foldables.”

Unfortunately for those in the U.S., the Galaxy Z TriFold is so far only available in Korea.

Mashable’s Tech Editor Timothy Werth has called The Frame, Samsung’s popular art TV, the best TV in the world, and its inspired a slew of copycats and dupes. And at CES 2026, LG will finally debut its own competitor.

The new LG Gallery TV is a premium competitor to The Frame, whereas most other art TVs have tried to undercut Samsung with a lower price. The Gallery TV will be able to display users’ photos, AI-generated artwork, and more than 4,500 works of art.

While The Frame features a QLED display, the Gallery TV will boast a matte-covered MiniLED display, which is only available in The Frame Pro. We don’t have an exact release date, but we know the LG Gallery TV will be available starting in 2026 in 55-inch and 65-inch models. Rumor has it the TV will be priced similarly to The Frame.

In the weeks leading up to CES 2026, both Samsung and LG announced some of the new TVs set to make their debut at the event. And this year, it’s all about MicroRGB display technology.

Samsung announced in December that it will expand its MicroRGB TV lineup to include 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, 100- and 115-inch models (the company previously launched a massive, 115-inch TV in 2025).

Meanwhile, LG plans to unveil its first-ever flagship RGB TV at CES 2026. Dubbed the Micro RGB evo, it boasts the smallest individual RGB LEDs ever seen in an LG TV and will be available in 75-, 86-, and 100-inch sizes.

MicroRGB TVs use extra-small LED lights that can emit red, green, and blue light; they’re an evolution of Micro LED display technology. Unlike Mini LED TVs, which are backlit with an LCD panel, Micro LEDs provide their own lighting. It’s all very technical, but what you need to know is this — MicroRGB TVs have brighter, clearer, and more colorful displays.
