Worldcoin has expanded its iris scanning verification to Amana Waterpark in Pandi, Bulacan, after completing activities in Plaridel. The verification process requires no ID or proof of residency—participants only need to generate a QR code in the World app and line up for scanning.

Tools for Humanity previously confirmed the activities as part of its “closed beta” operations, while the National Privacy Commission clarified it does not endorse Worldcoin’s data collection. Web3 Bulacan and PDAX stated they have no official ties to Worldcoin, though PDAX community managers are present to assist users with crypto-related inquiries.

Pinoy Developer on Possibility of Ethereum Rollback

Paolo Dioquino of DeFi Philippines dismissed the idea of an Ethereum rollback after the $1.46 billion Bybit hack, explaining that the blockchain itself was not compromised. He emphasized that the attack exploited Bybit’s interface, not Ethereum’s network or its multisig system. Since the stolen funds were quickly moved, reversing transactions would be impossible without causing greater harm to the ecosystem.

Dioquino also pointed out that Ethereum developers are not considering a rollback, as it contradicts blockchain’s core principle of immutability. Unlike the 2016 DAO hack, which involved a flaw in a smart contract, the Bybit hack did not result from an Ethereum-level failure. He believes that discussions of a rollback only fuel FUD and that trust in Ethereum relies on maintaining its decentralized and irreversible nature.
