The organizers of NFT Paris have announced the cancellation of the 2026 edition of the conference, bringing to a close a four-year run for the web3 event. The team cited a “market collapse” as the primary reason for the decision, stating that the event was no longer financially viable despite earlier efforts to reduce costs.

  • The organizers noted that despite “drastic cost cuts” and months of attempting to secure the necessary resources, they could not proceed with the event.

“We have to face reality, the market collapse hit us hard.” the statement read.

Refund Policy Discrepancies

The announcement outlined different outcomes for attendees and corporate partners regarding financial refunds.

For general attendees, the organizers promised that all tickets would be refunded within 15 days.

However, reports indicate that sponsors will not receive reimbursements. “Serc,” a sponsor of the event, shared correspondence received from the organization which stated that refunds were unavailable. The email cited “Article 12” of their agreement, explaining that “non-refundable costs incurred for the event exceed the total sponsorship contributions received”.

Event Context

Prior to the cancellation, NFT Paris had established itself as a significant gathering in the web3 sector.

The event previously hosted editions at the Grand Palais Éphémère and reported attendance figures reaching 18,000 people during its peak.

Past speakers included representatives from major entities such as Yuga Labs and LVMH.
