ChatGPT Go in PH

In a media release, OpenAI highlighted that the Philippines ranks among the top five countries in Asia for weekly active ChatGPT users, which shows strong adoption of AI for learning, creativity, and daily tasks.

The firm noted that the new ChatGPT Go plan aims to make these tools more accessible to Filipinos.

“Millions of people across the Philippines are turning to ChatGPT to support their learning, creativity and everyday problem-solving… With ChatGPT Go, we want to make cutting-edge AI easily accessible and affordable so everyone can benefit from it.”

Nick Turley, Vice President, ChatGPT

According to OpenAI, the rollout builds on the growing demand for affordable AI subscriptions in Asia. After debuting ChatGPT Go in India, OpenAI saw paid subscriptions more than double within a month, driven by positive user feedback.

ChatGPT Go is OpenAI’s new low-cost subscription plan designed to make its advanced AI tools more accessible to everyday users.

Priced at ₱300 per month, the plan offers expanded access to features such as higher message limits, image generation, file uploads, and longer memory, all powered by GPT-5, OpenAI’s “most advanced” model.

OpenAI noted that ChatGPT Go includes higher message limits than the free tier, though fair-use caps may still apply depending on system load.

It is available on both web and mobile platforms, including iOS and Android.

At launch, ChatGPT Go subscriptions can be purchased through credit card payments on the web or via in-app purchases on the Play Store and App Store using integrated payment methods. OpenAI said it plans to introduce more payment options soon.

The plan is available on both web and mobile platforms, with subscriptions applying across all devices linked to the same account.

OpenAI noted that the same privacy and safety standards apply to ChatGPT Go, with users able to manage data settings, including whether their chats are used to improve services.
