Bitcoin for Women Launches in the Rhino App

Rhino Learn, the educational arm of Bitcoin financial services company Rhino Bitcoin, today launches Bitcoin for Women — a first-of-its-kind course designed to teach women how to understand money, question the system, and build lasting financial independence through Bitcoin.

For decades, women have been underserved by both the traditional financial system and the Bitcoin space.

Financial literacy resources often assume prior knowledge or are loaded with jargon. And when it comes to Bitcoin, the problem is even worse: hype, speculation, and male-dominated messaging have left many women feeling excluded and unsure of where to begin.

This course changes that.

“Bitcoin for Women isn’t about charts or price predictions,” says course creator Sanjna Mehta, Co-founder of Yzer and a longtime Bitcoin educator.

“It’s about giving women the tools to understand how money really works, why the current system often fails them, and how Bitcoin can offer something better.”

Why Women? Why Now?

The data is sobering:

  • 58% of women in high-income households still leave long-term financial decisions to their spouses (UBS)
  • 1 in 4 women in the U.S. return to poverty after a divorce
  • Women perform 75% of the world’s unpaid care work, yet hold only 32% of global wealth
  • Financial literacy rates are lower for women in nearly every country and age group

Whether it’s less access to financial tools, wage inequality, or time poverty due to unpaid care work, women face structural barriers to financial freedom. Bitcoin for Women addresses these realities head-on.

Inside the Course: What You’ll Learn

Bitcoin for Women is structured as a multi-module journey, starting with the foundational question: What is money, really?

Module 1 dives into the history of money, the origins of inflation, and why today’s financial system is designed to benefit a few at the expense of many.

It then introduces the principles of Bitcoin as a response to those problems—not from a trading perspective, but from one of sovereignty and empowerment.

The course is intentionally jargon-free, using real-life examples and simple language. Lessons are short, visual, and designed to be completed at your own pace. You won’t find investment advice or crypto buzzwords here, just clarity, context, and confidence.

“We’re not trying to turn women into traders,” says Sanjna. “We’re helping them become financially literate so they can make informed decisions about their future.”

Future modules will expand on topics like Bitcoin fundamentals, self-custody, and how to actually use Bitcoin in everyday life.

More Than a Course — A Call to Action

Bitcoin for Women is not just about education. It’s about inclusion.

Rhino is encouraging users to invite their friends, sisters, mothers, and daughters to take the course together and start the conversations that most families, schools, and workplaces avoid.

The course is now live and available for free in the Learn section of the Rhino app.
