These are the milestone figures for Coinfest Asia 2025, hosted in Bali, Indonesia, from August 21 to 22, according to a report by organizers Indonesia Crypto Network and Coinvestasi.
Following this massive turnout, the organizers have confirmed that Coinfest Asia 2026 is already underway. The event is scheduled to return this year on August 20 and 21, 2026.
The Trailblazer: Coinfest Asia 2025 Highlights
According to the organizers, a key defining moment of the 2025 event was the significant presence of Indonesian regulators. This signaled a warming relationship between the government and the Web3 sector, with political leaders in attendance from:
- The Financial Services Authority
- The Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency
- The Ministry of National Development Planning
- The Ministry of Investment
- The House of Representatives
- The Attorney Generalās Office
- The National Cyber and Crypto Agency

While attendees flew in from all over the world, 66% of the 11,184 participants were local Indonesians.
Organizers credited this high local turnout to a unique grassroots initiative: 18 buses traveled across 60 cities in Indonesia to transport local community members to the two-day conference.
āGoing to a crypto event can be expensive for the average Indonesian. Coinfest Asia changed that with the Community Bus, making sure voices from all walks of life could be part of the festival.
This initiative made the festival accessible to communities nationwide, a first for a global crypto event.ā

The event also saw the launch of Tokenize Indonesia, a three-month accelerator program designed to explore real-world asset (RWA) tokenization relevant to the countryās institutional needs.
Major Indonesian institutions, including BRI, Pegadaian, MDI Ventures, and PosDigi, collaborated with international blockchain heavyweights like Stellar, Ripple, Fireblocks, and IOTA to drive this initiative forward.
Looking Forward to 2026
The momentum is set to continue. Organizers report that 94% of the sponsors from the 2025 edition have pledged to return for 2026.
This high retention rate is attributed to the effectiveness of the eventās āactivations.ā In 2025, 80% of sponsors ran live quests, airdrops, and product demos that successfully onboarded users and tested UX flows on the spot.
For the 2026 edition, the goal remains clear: connect attendees, produce jobs, and bridge traditional and decentralized initiatives. The focus will be on brand-led education, ensuring attendees walk away with practical exposure to products rather than just speculation.
