Crypto investors in the Philippines can now access Solana’s largest liquid staking token directly using Philippine Pesos. Local digital asset platform Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX) has listed JitoSOL, allowing users to buy, sell, and hold the asset without navigating external decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols or unhosted wallets.

The addition gives local traders direct fiat access to Solana’s primary liquid staking asset while keeping transactions inside a regulated local platform.

Staking native Solana (SOL) traditionally requires locking up funds, making them unavailable for trading or transfers while earning network rewards.

JitoSOL alters this mechanic by functioning as a liquid staking token. Holding JitoSOL provides exposure to underlying SOL staking yields, block production incentives, and transaction fees, which accrue directly into the token’s value relative to SOL over time. Because JitoSOL remains transferrable and tradeable, users maintain liquidity while receiving staking performance exposure.

By listing JitoSOL on its spot exchange, PDAX removes the friction typically associated with acquiring liquid staking assets. Local users can acquire the token in Pesos without executing multi-step cross-chain transfers or managing decentralized wallet connections.

Inside Solana’s $1 Billion Staking Asset

JitoSOL is the dominant liquid staking token on the Solana network, accounting for roughly $1 billion in total value locked. It is issued by Jito Network, which builds execution layer and block-building infrastructure that processes a significant portion of Solana’s daily transaction volume.

Patrick Lao, Head of Retail at PDAX said in a statement:

“The next phase of digital asset adoption is about expanding what users can access beyond conventional crypto trading. Bringing JitoSOL to PDAX gives Filipino users another way to explore innovations being built on Solana through a regulated local platform.”

“JitoSOL gives users a way to maintain exposure to staked SOL while keeping an asset they can use across the broader Solana ecosystem,” said Marc Liew, Head of APAC at Jito.

The listing expands Jito’s distribution in Asia, complementing its institutional custody support through platforms like BitGo and Hex Trust, as well as existing integrations with South Korean financial firms Hanwha Asset Management and KODA.

How to Buy JitoSOL on PDAX

Filipino users with verified PDAX accounts can trade JitoSOL directly using local currency through the app or web interface:

  1. Log into PDAX: Open the PDAX mobile app or web platform and sign in to a verified account.
  2. Cash In PHP: Deposit Philippine Pesos into your account using local payment channels such as GCash, Maya, InstaPay, PESONet, or direct bank transfer.
  3. Locate JitoSOL: Go to the trade section and select the JitoSOL trading pair (JitoSOL/PHP).
  4. Execute the Trade: Enter the desired PHP amount or JitoSOL quantity, choose between a Market or Limit order, and confirm the transaction.

After the order fulfills, the JitoSOL balance updates directly in your PDAX wallet.

Local Adoption Drives Expanding Asset Options

The listing arrives amid growing local participation in digital assets. Data from Project Bayani: The Philippines’ Asset Tokenization Opportunity indicates that over 14% of Filipinos own cryptocurrency, a figure that is substantially higher than the 2.4% involved in traditional stock markets and less than 1% holding bonds.
