The Palawan Group of Companies has signed an agreement with the Land Bank of the Philippines and the Department of Social Welfare and Development to serve as an accredited payout partner for government cash aid.
The memorandum of agreement, signed at the LandBank Tanauan Branch in Batangas, integrates Palawan Group into the DSWD Hybrid Digital Payout System. The initiative combines over-the-counter and digital disbursement channels to distribute financial assistance to low-income households, senior citizens and informal workers. Beneficiaries may collect state funds either in person or electronically. Palawan Group will provide distribution through more than 3,800 branches nationwide and through PalawanPay, its digital wallet platform that counts 23 million registered accounts. The dual-channel system aims to reduce transportation costs and transit times for recipients who live far from traditional bank branches or centralized distribution points.
“This partnership strengthens the work we have already been doing together and allows us to support more beneficiaries through accessible and convenient payout channels,” said Missy Baldemor, head of Palawan for Business, speaking on behalf of Chief Business Development Officer Lisa Castro-Sabado. “We can help bring assistance closer to communities.” (Read More: PalawanPay Powers QRPh Payments for Small Businesses at BIYAYA Festival 2026)
